Raymond & Christian announce ARKAEA

MEMBERS OF FEAR FACTORY AND THREAT SIGNAL ANNOUNCE NEW PROJECT!  MUSIC AVAILABLE FOR PREVIEW AT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/ARKAEAMUSIC    

Fear Factory members Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) and Raymond Herrera (drums) are proud to announce the debut album of their new group, ARKAEA. The band also features one of metal’s hungriest young singers, Jon Howard (Threat Signal).

ARKAEA has just finished up preproduction and are scheduled to enter the studio to begin recording.  This album promises to be as pummeling as anything the gold-selling team of Olde Wolbers and Herrera has ever written.

Olde Wolbers comments: “These songs were designed like the Fear Factory songs that Raymond and I always wrote. However, we’ve been able to push the boundaries and go out of that context, while remaining heavy.”

“Christian and Ray have been writing together for many years, so the music does have a lot of Fear Factory elements,” adds Howard. “However, we’ve been open to trying different things. It basically fuses what I have been doing vocally in Threat Signal with driving Fear Factory rhythms, along with some of our own experimentation. The idea behind the project is to be heavy, but maintain melody at the same time.”

Howard has been a part of the Fear Factory family ever since Olde Wolbers served as producer for Threat Signal’s debut, Under Reprisal. Given that connection, the chemistry was there the instant the band started playing together.

The band’s yet untitled album is due out fall 2008 on KOCH RECORDS and plans for touring are under way in support of the record.

Pixies’ Front Man Frank Black’s Covers of “Gimme Danger” To Lead First Retail Music Releases

LOS ANGELES, CA. , (March 6, 2007) – 3volution Productions LLC, a leading provider of custom audio, video and marketing solutions for video games, today announced an exclusive three year digital distribution agreement with Navarre Corporation, a leading distributor of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products. Under the exclusive agreement, Navarre will distribute 3volution’s video game related music created for and based on some of the industry’s most popular games. The new business relationship will emerge to deliver several products in the near future; the first release being today, March 6, 2007 with the commercial release of two songs featured exclusively in the upcoming Ubisoft title, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ 2 (GRAW 2).

3volution’s remakes of “Gimme Danger,“ (originally written and recorded by Iggy Pop and the Stooges) featuring Pixies’ front man and solo artist Frank Black on vocals are the first of 3volutoin’s videogame related songs to be distributed by Navarre. On March 6, 2007, Both “Gimme Danger” and “Gimme Danger nu Grungeopolis mix” by Frank Black and 3volution will be distributed digitally to more than 20 top outlets including Apple iTunes, Music Match, Napster, emusic, Audio Lunchbox, Sony Connect, Jamster, Verizon Wireless and more.

RAYMOND SIGNING AT NAMM

Raymond will be doing 2 signings for Zildjian, Friday January 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday January 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. as well.

Raymond will be doing signings at the pro-mark booth on Saturday January 20th at 3:30 p.m. The pro-mark booth will be located at booth# 3056. Chris Adler from Lamb of God will be there as well.

Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen medical emergency SALIVA have had to cancel all of their upcoming shows, including their appearance at the DELICIOUS ROX FESTIVAL in Sedalia, MO on September 30th. And while our best wishes go out to Josie Scott and all in the SALIVA camp, the show must go on, and as promised there will STILL be a mushroom cloud over Sedalia anyway, as we have secured Industrial/Metal powerhouse FEAR FACTORY to take their place.

FEAR FACTORY OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Fear Factory, who are currently on tour in South America, have released this official statement today in response to the rumors of cancellations.

" We would like our fans to know that the band is currently in South America as planned. Yes, our Valenzuela show has been cancelled but all other performances will be played as scheduled. We are sorry for any conflicting information that may have reached the fans."
